Hola!
We recently returned from an amazing week in Puerto Rico. We have been many times as my husband has family on the island but we traveled with a great group of friends that for most was their first visit to the island. Though we spent most of the time on the west side of the island exploring beaches and waterfalls we felt it was important to also explore the rich history of Viejo San Juan.
While in Viejo San Juan we ended up with an opportunity to tour a music studio in the heart of downtown. My husband is in a band and is looking to possibly record on the island so he reached out to the studio and they gladly accommodated the request. Upon arrival we were welcomed into a small room with bookshelves floor to ceiling filled with old vinyl records. We looked around and were quickly confused as to where the studio was. Low and behold the bookshelves were hidden doors that opened up into a large studio filled with antique music history! Part of the history of the studio includes being the site of the very first radio station on the island. It was such an amazing experience and book ended a wonderful week away. I highly recommend visiting Puerto Rico. Feel free to reach out if you need some recommendations! Enjoy the pictures of our trip.
